Senior Business Development Manager

The Pacific Media Network (PMN), with studios in Auckland and Wellington, is Aotearoa’s Pan-Pacific national broadcasting network. We deliver relevant, high quality Pan Pacific broadcasting services to, for and about Pacific people consistent with our vision of “Celebrating the Pacific Spirit”. Our programmes are broadcast in English and Pacific languages, via our flagship services, Niu FM, 531pi, and Pacific Radio News.

 We are seeking an experienced senior business development manager to develop and implement sales and marketing initiatives in the Wellington area to meet and exceed sales targets; and to manage the Wellington branch sales team.

Reporting to the National Business Development Director  your responsibilities will include developing and executing sales objectives , plans and budgets;  managing  ad sales and commercial revenues;  new business development and developing  external business relationships with key corporate & direct clients; liaising with Advertising & Government Agencies  and  Distribution partners; promoting alliances with key business partners; cultivating and promoting new business initiatives; and, negotiating and closing deals.  

You’ll have:

·   A successful advertising/sales background in media, with sound business development responsibilities.

·   Strong sales management capabilities and effective communication and presentation skills

·   Demonstrated effective relationship management skills particularly with government agencies and Corporates

·   A sound  track record in establishing and implementing sales plans and budgets and managing a sales team to achieve revenue targets

·   Able to establish and effectively manage sales territories

·   Experience working within PacificIsland communities in New Zealand
