Foster Carers / Caregivers for CYF

It takes all sorts of people to care for children and teens - you may be surprised that you’re just the right person

Right now Child, Youth and Family are looking for foster carers who can open their homes, in particular to; challenging teens and sibling groups. You’ll make a great foster carer if you:

▪ can deal with their behavioural challenges

▪ have a non judgemental, engaging style of parenting

▪ can build trust quickly and easily with them

▪ have an understanding of different backgrounds

▪ can work as a team with CYF, other professionals and families

▪ can offer care when they need it, but are able to let go when it’s time for them to return home
